FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Another two cargo flights carrying emergency shelter, food and medicines for floods-affected people from Kabul landed at the airport in this capital city of western Ghor province on Monday morning.
Dispatched by the central government, the flights landed at the Sultan Ghiyasuddin Ghori Airport in Firouzkoh city after 6am”.
Ghor Information and Culture director Maulvi Mohammad Hamas told Pajhwok Afghan News that more aid for the flood-victims will arrive from Herat province and Kabul
He said the aid transferred by air forces included emergency shelters, medicines, food and cloths.
A day earlier, five flights carrying a delegation from Kabul with aid arrived in the province.
Hamas said some emergency aid will be delivered to Ghor from Herat and Kabul provinces.
The natural disaster killed about 50 people including women and children, destroyed 2,500 shops, thousands of houses and inundated thousands of hectares of agriculture lands and swept way hundreds of bridges, culverts and dams, thousands of livestock and dozens of vehicles in different areas of the province.
