ASADABAD (Pajhwok): About 750 students, including 337 girls, have graduated from the Al-Madina Institute of Medical Science in eastern Kunar province, an official said on Wednesday.
Al-Madina Institute of Medical Science Director Dr. Ali Mohammad Amin said at the graduation ceremony the students had graduated from the departments of nursing, pharmacy, dental prosthetics, midwifery, medical technology, nutrition and mental health.
Deputy Governor Maulvi Abdullah Haqqani noted the private sector was playing an important role in development and bolstering the economy and promoting education.
He emphasised on strengthening and developing centres of academic excellence in addition to improving the quality of education.
