Youth killed in hand-grenade blast in Maidan Wardak

MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): A youth was killed in a hand-grenade blast in Sayed Abad district of central Maidan Wardak province last night, an official said on Wednesday.

Maidan Wardak police spokesman Mohammad Yousuf Israr told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place in Patan Khel village last night.

Israr said: “It remains unclear how the blast happened, but the boy had probably found the grenade that exploded.”

The family of the victim has no enmity and has not pointed finger of suspicion at anyone.

“Everything will become clear once the investigation is completed,” the police spokesman said.
