DAB team off to Malaysia to attend GFIEF

KABUL (Pajhwok): A high-level delegation of Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) has travelled to Malaysia to participate in the two-day Global Forum of Islamic Economics and Finance (GFIEF).

The delegation was visiting Malaysia following an invitation from that country’s central bank, DAB wrote on its X handle.

On day one of their trip, the delegates will meet officials of the Malaysian central bank anf visit the International Shariah Research Centre of Islamic Banking, the International University of Islamic Banking and Finance, the International Islamic University of Malaysia, and the Department of Hajj.

Representatives from DAB and central banks of other Islamic countries, as well as envoys have been invited to the forum to exchange views and share experiences with each other on the development of Islamic banking.

Da Afghanistan Bank said it desired strong bilateral banking ties with all countries, especially with Islamic nations.
