3 of a family shot dead in Farah, 5 suspects held

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen have shot dead three members of a family, including a child, in the Gulistan district of western Farah province, an official said on Monday.

Director of Information and Culture Maulvi Abdul Hai Sabawoon told Pajhwok Afghan News that unknown armed men gunned down three members of a family on Sunday night at round 12:00am.

According to him, the victims were a husband, wife and son.

He said security forces had arrested five suspects in connection with the incident. Efforts are under way to find the perpetrators.
