KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan and Oman are all set to meet in their first T20 World Cup warm-up match today (Wednesday) at the Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad.
The match would commence at 9:30pm Afghanistan time, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) wrote on its Facebook page.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin on the first of June, 2024. Afghanistan are placed in Group C along with New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Uganda and co-hosts the West Indies.
Earlier, ACB had unveiled schedule for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, to be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the US.
The national squad will play a couple of warm-up matches against Oman on May 29 and Scotland on May 31 before going into the mega event.
Afghanistan will begin their World Cup campaign against Uganda on June 5 at the Providence Stadium.
