Muay Thai competitions begin in Ghazni

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Muay Thai competitions involving 75 athletes from 18 districts kicked off in Ghazni city, the capital of southern Ghazni province, on Saturday.

Sports and Physical Fitness Department head Bilal Mujahid told Pajhwok, Afghan News the Muay Thai competitions started at the provincial gymnasium.

The players have been divided into three groups of juniors, seniors and adult athletes and all the matches are being held in coordination with the sports department, Mujahid said.

The event is aimed to hunt talent and select best players for the provincial Muay Thai team.
