KABUL (Pajhwok): The Land Grab and Restitution Commission (LGPRC) has recovered 27,500 acres of usurped land in the capital city and districts so far, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) said on Wednesday.
Qari Barkatullah Rasouli, spokesman for MoJ, wrote on X since the launch of its activities, the commission had wrested back more than 27,500 acres of state land in different parts of the capital.
He said the recovered lands had been handed over to the relevant agencies after identification and confirmation.
“These lands include more than 18,500 acres in the Mullah Tarakhel town, 1,300 acres in Tapa-i-Nader Khan, 277 acres in Deh Kipak Tapa, and thousands of acres in different parts of Kabul.”
According to him, LGPRC efforts are ongoing to inspect towns in Kabul and other provinces, where usurped state land would be wrested back.
