Afghanistan face Qatar in Football World Cup qualifying phase  

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan will be playing against Qatar in the second qualifying phase of the 2026 Football World Cup and 2027 Asian Nations Cup tomorrow.

The matches hosted by Afghanistan will be held in Ahsa city of Saudi Arabia at 8:30pm tomorrow.

Afghanistan entered the green rectangle against Qatar as they faced two defeats, one draw and one victory against Qatar, Kuwait and India in their last four games.

Afghanistan Football Federation has announced the list of probables for the national side that includes Owais Azizi, Gulalai Rahimi, Faisal Sayedkhel, Kiwan Mutaqian, Captain Islamuddin Amiri, Yama Shirzad, Jamshed Achakzai, Farid Sadat, Omid Popalzai, Sharif Mohammad, Rahmat Akbari, Siyar Sadat, Taifiq Skandari, Mosawer Ahadi, Hamid Arezo, Abdul Najm Haidari, Habibullah Askar, Jabar Sharza, Omid Mosawi, Sayed Reza Hussaini, Zulfaqar Nazari, Sayed Murtaza Fatemi, Mahboob Hanafi, Mohammad Naeem Rahimi, Bilal Arezo and Hussain Zamani.

AFF spokesman Mustafa Hashimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the national team was attending a training camp in Saudi Arabia.
