KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved contracts for 14 projects worth four billion afghanis.
Deputy Prime Minister’s office for economic affairs in a statement said that the NPC met under the chairmanship of the deputy prime minister for economic affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
The meeting reviewed 24 projects and approved contracts for 14 projects worth approximately four billion afghanis. Six projects were extended, and one project contract was cancelled
Additionally, the Directorate of National Procurement was directed to resubmit one project for open bidding and to comprehensively evaluate the contracts of two projects and share its report with the commission’s leadership.
The approved projects include completion of the Kabul-Kandahar highway’s reconstruction, provision of electrical equipment for Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat across various provinces and construction of several key roads in Kabul city among others.
These projects are financially supported by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
