KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology has banned lotteries by telecom companies.
Inayatullah Alokozai, spokesman for the ministry, wrote on X telecom firms were no longer allowed to coax money from people in the name of lottery.
According to him, telecommunication companies collect money from many people to participate in lotteries, but they would choose only one person for the prize.
