MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): About six people have been wounded when fire broke out at a liquefied gas shop in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province.
In a statement, police headquarters said that the incident took place in the limits of 1st police district of Mazar-i-Sharif City on Thursday evening.
It said the incident occurred when fire broke out inside a liquefied gas shop, leaving six individuals wounded.
According to the statement, following a quick response from the firefighters, goods worth eight million afghanis were saved from being gutted, but some other items costing 300,000 afghanis were burnt in the blaze.
The blaze happened due to a leak gas cylinder.
