IEA makes independent decisions: says Jalaly

KABUL (Pajhwok): Director of Third Political Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Zakir Jalaly says the caretaker government reserves the right tomake independent decisions based on its foreign policy.

He wrote on X: “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), like any other country, makes independent decisions based on its evaluation, calculations and foreign policy priorities.”

He added: "Afghanistan, like any other country, especially regional states, has issues that need to be resolved."

Interim government officials have repeatedly emphasised on non-interference in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.
