KABUL (Pajhwok): About 30,000 people have been flown via 94 flights to Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj, says the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs (MoHRA).
The ministry wrote on its X handle the process of transporting Afghan pilgrims to Saudi Arabia concluded on Saturday.
It said the last flight took off from Kandahar airport and landed in Jeddah yesterday.
A total of 30,000 pilgrims have been flown to Saudi Arabia on 94 flights from Kabul, Kandahar, Balkh and Herat airports.
Earlier, MoHRA had inked agreements with Kam Air and Ariana Afghan Airlines for transporting Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
