2 armed robbers killed in clash with security forces

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Two armed robbers have been killed in a clash with security forces in northern Balkh province.

In a statement, the police headquarters said the incident occurred in the Balkh district where the robbers were killed in a firefight on Sunday night.

It said four robbers, posing as security personnel, tried to enter a house for a search. But their bid was thwarted by security forces.

Two of the robbers were killed while two others fled the area, but a manhunt has been launched for them Two Kalashnikovs were also seized from the robbers.
