KABUL (Pajhwok): A football tournament, featuring 33 school teams, has kicked off in Kabul, the Ministry of Education (MoE) said on Monday.
Primary and Secondary Education Director at MoE Maulvi Mohammad Rahim, police district chiefs and players participated in the inaugural ceremony.
The event, featuring 33 Kabul school teams, commenced at the Habibia High School ground on Sunday and will continue for 15 days.
Rahim highlighted the ministry’s plans for the promotion of sports among youth.
According to the ministry, the winners and runners-up of the tournament will be given trophies and appreciation certificates.
