NEILLI (Pajhwok): A teenager has drowned in the Helmand River’s water in the Shahristan district of central Daikundi province while fishing, an official said on Wednesday.
Police Spokesperson Ghulam Ali Javid told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident happened in Awshou Jangalak locality.
The 15-year-old deceased boy hailed from the Sherma village.
The body was recovered this morning with the help of police and local people.
