Nabi crowned new No.1 all-rounder in ICC T20 rankings

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan’s veteran cricket player Mohammad Nabi has ascended to the top spot in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC)’s T20 all-rounder rankings.

While India’s Suryakumar Yadav retained his position as the top-ranked batter.

This shift comes amidst Afghanistan’s unbeaten streak in the ongoing T20 World Cup, where they clinched victories against Uganda and New Zealand in Group C clashes.

Nabi’s stellar performances with both bat and ball earned him the number one ranking. The 39-year-old’s standout display, including two crucial wickets against New Zealand, propelled him to the summit of the rankings.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Marcus Stoinis climbed three places to secure the second position, surpassing Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan, who now occupies the fifth spot.
