PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): An Afghan national has arrived in central Logar province after traveling for a week from Germany on his motorbike, a local official said on Thursday.
Rafiullah Samim, director of Information and Culture, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Mohammad Mansour Sarwan, who had migrated to Germany eight years ago, returned to the country on a motorbike.
Samim said that security had been maintained across the country after the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and every Afghan could safely return to the country.
Meanwhile, Sarwan told Pajhwok that he had traveled for seven days to reach Afghanistan.
The biker added: “It was my dream to travel to the country by land on a motorcycle and visit different parts of the country. A dream is coming true now.”
The visitor urged other Afghans living abroad as refugees to return to their homeland and freely stay here.
Hailing from Mohammad Agha district of Logar, Sarwan migrated to Germany about eight years ago.
