KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) has announced appointments of three senior officials.
Mullah Besmillah has been appointed as deputy administrative head of the General Directorate of Intelligence (GDI), Maulvi Abdul Qayyum Rohani as new governor of Khost and Mohammad Wazir as Ghazni director of natural disaster management.
Zabihullah Mujahid, IEA spokesman, wrote on his X page the appointments had been made in compliance with orders from the government’s leadership.
He said Mullah Besmillah had previously served as deputy administrative head of the intelligence department in Khost.
Likewise, Abdul Qayyum Rohani has acted as governor of Nimroz and Haji Mohammad Wazir has served at the Ministry of Interior.
