FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): The Faizabad-Takhar highway has reopened for traffic in the Argo district of northeastern Badakhshan province, an official announced on Monday.
Public Works Director Maulvi Abdul Ghafoor Atid told Pajhwok Afghan News the Faizabad-Takhar highway had been closed due to flash floods in Samadi, Sabzi Bahar and other parts of Argo district on Sunday.
He said the Public Works Department’s machines had started cleaning sedimentary materials and one lane of the road was reopened for traffic late Saturday night.
