KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi has said formally inviting the Islamic Emirate to participate in the third UN-convened Doha meeting shows its status and importance is being realized by the world.
The Doha meeting on Afghanistan is scheduled to take place on June 30 and July 1.
Muttaqi told a meeting of MoFA officials, including deputy foreign ministers, that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) had been officially invited to the Doha meeting and it showed the world was fast realizing the regime’s status and importance.
The MoFA officials returned to work after Eid holiday. In a video clip published on MoFA X page, Muttaqi said recent visits of IEA officials and ministers to some countries showed it had been understood and accepted that the current government of Afghanistan had the support of the people and if the world wanted to interact, it would have to interact with the same system.
Without naming anyone, the FM said the hopes of the enemies of the system were shattering day by day and there was nothing inside and outside the country that could give new hope to the enemies.
“The pillars of the system are getting stronger, the biggest happiness lies in the unity of Afghans, their friendship with each other and standing behind the system. All kinds of differences and prejudice have disappeared in the whole of the country, which is good news for the future of Afghanistan”.
Muttaqi said Kabul hosted many foreign guests and delegations from different countries between Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha and major organizations came and held meetings in different areas. ‘This shows Afghanistan’s interaction with the world has come a long way”.
He also said Afghanistan enjoyed good relations with its neighbors and countries in the region and the country also desired positive relations with European countries and the US.
