45 traffic accidents happen in Badakhshan this year

FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): About 45 traffic accidents occurred in districts of northeastern Badakhshan province this year, leaving at least 46 people dead and 75 others wounded.

Atiqullah, a Faizabad city resident, said traffic accidents increased this year compared to last year.

He also called reckless driving, absence of traffic signs and heaps of sand on roads as main reasons behind the mishaps.

He asked the government to construct the highway in a standard manner and install traffic signs on it to prevent accidents.
