KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) says savagely torturing a teenager in Balchargh district of northern Faryab province could not be justified and the perpetrators would face action.
A video is circulating on social media in which a teenage girl is being brutally tortured.
Abdul Matin Qani, spokesman for the MoI, told Pajhwok Afghan News that after receiving the report, the MoI leadership ordered police in Faryab to identify and arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible.
Without elaborating, Qani said ten suspects had been identified in connection with the incident, six of them were arrested and the remaining were being chased.
He blamed personal enmity behind the torture of the teenager.
