KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Over 900 people have been hospitalized in the Antani Hospital in northern Kunduz province out of which 12 people have died.
Qiyamuddin Safi, deputy head of the Antani Hospital said 13,000 people have referred to the Hospital since the weather has become hot.
Twelve patients of who had been hospitalized due to measles, diarrhea and Congo had died.
“Almost 13,000 OPD patients we have had out of which 918 were hospitalized and most of them suffered from diarrhea and measles.”
Meanwhile physicians at Antani have asked people to follow health guidelines.
Abdul Khalil Hikmat, one of the physicians, said: “We ask our compatriots to pay serious attention to their hygiene and wash their hands with soap and water.”
Ahmad Zia Safi, one of the doctors, said: “Seasonal diseases naturally increase when the weather warms up, people should take precautions, wash fruits well, and always wash their hands with liquid or soap.”
