LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A man shot dead his septuagenarian grandfather in Gershk district of southern Helmand province last night, an official said on Wednesday.
Governor’s spokesman Mohammad Qasim Riaz told Pajhwok Afghan News the 70-year-old man was gunned down and his son injured by his grandson with a hunting gun in Hyderabad area on Tuesday night.
He blamed the incident on domestic violence and said the injured had been evacuated to hospital for medical treatment.
A manhunt has been launched to arrest the killer, the official concluded.
