Sar-i-Pul security officer mistakenly shot dead by son

SAR-I-PUL CITY (Pajhwok): The commander of the 4^th platoon of 209th Al-Fath Brigade has been mistakenly killed by his son in northern Sar-i-Pul province, a local official said on Saturday.

The governor’s house said: “The commander, Hassan Khan, was accidentally shot dead by his son on their way to Qala-i-Shahr.”

A statement from the governor’s office called the gunfire unintentional, saying investigation into the incident was underway.
