KABUL (Pajhwok): Turkmenistan will host foreign ministers of Afghanistan's neighboring countries this year for the fifth such meeting, a media report said on Sunday.
Turkmenistan media said Turkmenistan deputy Foreign Minister Akhmed Gurbanov held a meeting with China’s special envoy for Afghanistan Yue Xiaoyong.
They discussed prospects for development of Turkmen-Chinese interaction and international and regional situations.
“Progress in preparations for the 5th meeting of foreign ministers of countries neighboring Afghanistan to be held in Turkmenistan this year, also came up for discussion,” the report added.
They reaffirmed confirmed to jointly help Afghanistan recover economically by adhering to the principles of friendship and good neighborliness.
