MoLSA inks pacts worth $3.7m to create jobs, alleviate poverty

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA) has inked eight agreements worth 3.7 million US dollars (261.5 million afghanis) with four national and international organizations to create jobs and support vulnerable children .

Hadidullah Waziri, who spoke on behalf of MoLSA, told the agreements’ signing ceremony in Kabul that the agreements were signed after talks and discussions.

Under the agreements, the institutions will provide job opportunities to the people in Kabul, Balkh, Nangarhar, Kandahar, Laghman, Badakhshan, and Jawzjan provinces, he explained.

He said about 4,600 vulnerable children and their families will be supported under the agreements.

He added poor individuals and children who could not afford to go to school would be provided vocational trainings and cash aid.

About 106 agreements were signed with domestic and international organizations during the current solar year.
