KABUL (Pajhwok): Two Afghan boxers have marched into the semi-finals of the ongoing Asian Youth Boxing Championship (AYBC) in Russia, the National Olympic and Sports Committee (NOSC) announced on Wednesday.
Mujaba Haidari found his way to the semi-finals after beating his Russian opponent in the 48kg category.
Firdous Najib was declared the winner and reached the semi-final after his opponent did not appear in the ring.
Without providing details, the NOSC said the championship was ongoing in Russia.
