KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry Nooruddin Azizi and Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister of Jamshid Khodjaev have discussed issues of common interest, including enhanced trade and transit ties between Kabul and Tashkent.

At a meeting in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan; the two sides also conferred on signing investment and transit agreements, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) wrote on its X handle.

It said greater bilateral trade links, signing investment and transit agreements, cooperation in the railway sector and the 500 kilovolt Surkhan-Pul-i-Khumri power project came up for discussion.

The two sides also agreed on the establishment of a joint trade house between the two countries, the ministry added.

On Tuesday, a delegation, headed by Azizi, left Kabul for Tashkent to attend an exhibition of Afghan products and Commercial Communication Conference.

The team included government and private sector representatives.
