KABUL (Pajhwok): Three people were killed and seven others injured in a remote control bomb blast in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Friday, a media report said.
The incident happened in Mardan district when a remote-controlled explosive device planted on a bridge was set off, police officials said.
Sadar Superintendent of Police (SP) Khalid Khan confirmed the casualties to Dawn.com, saying that “unidentified terrorists” planted the device near the Jalala bridge in the Takhtbhai area and detonated it as the police van was passing by.
He said that the police vehicle and a rickshaw were damaged in the blast, with three people in the rickshaw dead while seven people were injured, including two police officers.
