MAHMOOD RAQI/ GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): At least four people have been killed and 15 others wounded in four separate traffic accidents in central Kapisa and southern Ghazni provinces, local officials said on Saturday.
Kapisa police spokesman Abdul Fatah Fayez told Pajhwok Afghan News an accident took place on Friday afternoon when a vehicle veered off the road and flipped over in Alasai district.
He said four people, including a woman, lost their lives and six others, including children, were wounded in the incident in Chaikhel area.
He added the injured were evacuated to Kabul for medical treatment and are said to be in critical condition.
Separately, nine individuals were wounded as a result of three separate traffic accidents in Ghazni, police spokesman Abu Khalid Sarhadi told Pajhwok.
The first accident occurred when two vehicles collided on the Kabul-Kandahar highway on Friday.
He said five people, including two women, were injured in the collision.
Four people were wounded in two other mishaps elsewhere in the province. He blamed the accidents on rash driving.
