KABUL (Pajhwok): The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) cabinet has tasked the Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) to meet contracting firms on the early construction of the second line of the Kabul-Ghazni highway.
Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund presided over a cabinet meeting on Monday, the Administrative Affairs Office said in a statement.
It added various issues were discussed and important decisions made at the meeting.
MoPW was directed to meet contracting companies on the construction of Kabul-Ghazni highway’s second and share the result with the prime minister’s office.
The acquisition of land for the 30-km Aqina-Andkhoi railway line in the first phase of the project was also discussed and a delegation appointed to closely inspect the land and present its report at the next Cabinet meeting.
