NEILI (Pajhwok): The Public Health Department in central Daikundi province says construction of a building for a health centre has been completed and put into service in Sang Takht district

Navid Zaki, a spokesman for the public health department, said the building of the basic health center (BHC) consumed $260,000 and was inaugurated in the presence of local officials, representatives of aid agencies and residents.

He added indigenous NGO Watan Afghanistan carried out the construction works with financial assistance from UNHCR.

Dr. Ghani Samim, the provincial public health director, said the new health centre would benefit people.

He asked personnel of the health center to provide better health services and emphasized patient attendants should be treated well.
