CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Four people have been killed and nearly a dozen others injured in separate traffic accidents in central Parwan and Bamyan provinces, police said on Wednesday.

Parwan police spokesman Fazl Rahim Meskinyar told the first accident took place when a corolla-type vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a tree in Bagram district on Tuesday. The accident left two people dead and a woman injured.

He said two more accidents involving motorcycles and trucks left six men injured on the Kabul-Parwan highway.

The injured have been evacuated to the civil hospital in Charikar and police have launched their investigation into the mishaps.

On the other hand, Bamyan police spokesman Mohammad Khawani Rasa told Pajhwok two people lost their lives and four others sustained injuries when a corolla-type vehicle collided with an electrical pole in Dahan Ahangaran area of Bamyan city.

According to Khawani, two people lost their lives and four others were wounded in the accident.
