KABUL (Pajhwok): A cobbler in Kabul city says he is struggling with economic issues, but he wants his children to be educated.
Habib, 41, who has been working as a cobbler in Haji Yaqub square in capital Kabul since more than seven years, says his business is not good and he is struggling with economic hardships.
A bread winner for a six-member family, Habib said he earns 150 to 200 afghanis a day and with this amount he could not event meet the basic needs of his family.
He has been in debt amounting to 300,000 afghanis since his wedding.
Habib, who lives with his family in a mortgage house, has four children and his eldest child is a 12-year-old girl.
Haunted by economic woes, the man said he was trying to provide his children with education.
Habib asked the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to provide his children with education.
He urged the interim government and businesspeople to create job opportunities in the country, so that everyone can have a good income and lead their lives well.
