2 people die in separate Ghazni incidents

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed in separate incidents in southern Ghazni province, a police official said on Saturday.

Police spokesman Abu Khalid Sarhadi told Pajhwok Afghan News a 10-year-old boy was killed when an old mortar shell he had found went off in Molok village of Qara Bagh district on Friday.

He said: “The child has found the device while grazing animals, he was playing with it when it exploded”.

Similar incidents had occurred and claimed lives in Makordak, Mirowalo, Baran Kala and other areas of Qara Bagh district.

Separately, a young man Qudratullah committed suicide by shooting himself with a gun in Bagha village of Andar district yesterday, Sarhadi said.

“Initial investigations show Qutraullah shot himself with a pistol and lost his life”: the police spokesman explained.

According to him, he committed suicide due to family problems.
