KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced the display of Afghan products at the 8th China-South Asia Expo.
The event commenced on Tuesday in Kunming, Yunnan province, attracting over 2,000 exhibitors, including a delegation from Afghanistan's private sector.
In a statement on X, the MoCI explained Afghan products such as carpets, handicrafts, precious stones, saffron and dried fruits were being showcased in 41 pavilions at the expo.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, representatives of the Islamic Emirate met Chinese investors and industrialists to discuss investment opportunities in Afghanistan.
They emphasised the potential benefits of strengthening economic relations with China, one of the world's leading economies.
Enhancing economic relations with China is seen as a significant opportunity to positively impact Afghanistan's economy and foster development.
