KABUL (Pajhwok): Three people, including a woman, were lashed in public after being convicted of various crimes in central Bamyan province, the Supreme Court said on Thursday.
The Supreme Court wrote on X the sentences were implemented after approval from the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The Bamyan primary court had sentenced one accused to one year in jail and 35 lashes, another to five years imprisonment and 35 lashes and the third to six months imprisonment and 30 lashes.
On July 5, five people were publicly whipped in upper Maiwand district of southern Kandahar province.
