HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A resident of Pashton Zarghon district in western Herat province has constructed building for a primary school spending two million afghanis from his pocket.
Education Director Maulvi Rahmatullah Jabbar said construction and repairing of school buildings and providing all necessary facilities to students and teachers were his department’s top priorities.
He appreciated Haji Abdul Razaq Mohammadi for construction of a new school building on self-help basis.
He said the building of Abu Saeed Khodri Primary School was situated in Deh Lath village of the district.
He added the structure has eight classrooms and an administrative room.
He called people’s cooperation essential in developing the education sector and asked the people to continue their cooperation in this sector.
He promised his department would provide all possible facilities for students.
On the other hand, a number of residents of Deh Lath village appreciated Haji Mohammadi and asked the education department to provide children with necessary educational facilities.
Din Mohammad, an influential figure of the district, complained about lack of stationary, books and teachers in the schools of the district.
