KABUL (Pajhwok): Following stormy weather, a mudslide has killed 15 people and injured six more in China’s Gaemi drench region, says a media report.
The Associated Press (AP) reported the incident took place near a tourist resort on Sunday at 8:00am local time.
The deadly event appeared to be the first in China linked to Tropical Typhoon Gaemi, the report said.
On Saturday, Chinese authorities said the tropical typhoon had killed 34 people in the Philippines before reaching the region.
The storms has also hit the Island of Taiwan and killed 10 people there, Chinese officials added.
Earlier, at least 229 people died last week in a landslide following heavy rains in southern Ethiopia.
