2 killed, as many wounded in Sar-i-Pul mishap

SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): At least two people have been killed and as many others wounded in a traffic accident in Sar-i-Pul city, the capital of central Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Maulvi Habibullah Masror told Pajhwok Afghan News a Sarcha-type vehicle en route to Sar-i-Pul city from Sayad district veered off the road and flipped over in Alqani area on Monday night.

He said two people, including a woman, lost their lives and two others wounded in the mishap had been evacuated to the provincial hospital.

Masror blamed the tragic mishap on reckless driving.
