Nearly 15 tonnes of narcotics set alight in Daikundi

NEILI (Pajhwok): Counter-narcotics Department officials set alight nearly 15 tons of drugs in central Daikundi province on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Ghulam Ali Jawed told Pajhwok Afghan News the narcotics were set alight by security forces in Neili city, the provincial capital.

He said the drugs included heroin, hashish, marijuana, opium, tramadol pills, alcohol, soda, lime, acid and others.

The drugs had been seized in 86 cases since 1402 solar year, he added.

According to the police spokesman, about 104 suspects have been arrested in connection with the drugs and handed over to judicial bodies.
