KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): A two-day exhibition of agricultural products, livestock and women's handicrafts has been launched in northern Kunduz provinces to support farmers, and women industrialists in this province, an official said on Wednesday.
Salauhuddin Wahidi, deputy head of the Agriculture and Livestock Department, said 80 stalls of agricultural, livestock and industrial products organised in the exhibition.
This exhibition is organized by the Department of Agriculture and Irrigation Kunduz in cooperation with Rah Navin Organisation, It will last for two days.
“We will display the products in three categories, agricultural products, livestock products and handicrafts; the purpose of this exhibition is to market the products of Kunduz Province.”
Meanwhile, some farmers, livestock owners and industrialists were happy with the convention of this exhibition.
Naqibullah Haqyar, one of the farmers in the exhibition, said: “Farmers should be supported in every way, we need cold storages, fertilizers should be cheap, and markets should be explored for our harvested crops.”
Sania, a woman entrepreneur who brought her handicraft to the market for sale, also demanded more cooperation from government and NGOs for the development of industrial sector.
She said: “We are very happy that we brought our crafts here today, we want our crafts to be sold and women entrepreneurs to be supported.”
This comes that in recent years various exhibitions have been launched in different provinces of the country with the aim of increasing domestic production by the caretaker government.
