CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): Construction work on a building for a secondary school has been competed at a cost of more than five million afghanis in central Parwan province, an official said Saturday.
Education Director Maulvi Sayed Mohammad Faizi said the school building having 12 classrooms and an office room consumed five million afghanis raised by the people of Pawaz village in two years.
He said the students would attend classes in rented building. He emphasized the importance of preserving and maintaining this building. He said the building was constructed with the efforts of the people and asked others to participate in the construction of similar school buildings.
Ali Jan, a student of eighth class, was happy with the construction of this school and said: “We thank our people. Before, we studied in a rented building that had small rooms and limited space. Now our problems have been solved”.
Recently, people’s attention to construction of school buildings has increased in different provinces of the country.
Abu Saeed Khedri Primary School building in Deh Lata village of Pashtun Zarghoon district of western Herat province was completed at a cost of two million and 268,000 afghanis a week ago.
