KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has invited two commentators from Sri Lanka and India for the upcoming Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL), an official announced on Sunday.
Syed Naseem Sadat, spokesman for ACB, told Pajhwok Afghan News they had invited Indian commentator Devender Kumar and Sri Lanka’s Roshan Abeysingh to the ninth edition of SCL.
Meanwhile, Kumar confirmed he would arrive in Afghanistan. He wrote on his Facebook account: “I will go to my second homeland once again.”
The ninth edition of SCL will kick off on August 12 at the Kabul International Stadium.
This year’s tournament will feature five teams: Speenghar Tigers, Band-i-Amir Dragons, Amo Region, Mis-i-Ainak Region and Bost Region.
Speenghar Tigers will take on Band-i-Amir Dragons in the opener of the tournament.
