ASADABAD (Pajhwok): Three Tuberculosis (TB) diagnosed centres have been opened in Asadabad, the capital of eastern Kunar province and Sawkai and Manogai districts hospitals.
Public Health Director Qari Muzafar Mukhles told a gathering marking the opening of these facilities said that modern machinery has been installed in the newly establish facilities.
He said: “With the special attention of the Ministry of Public Health, Genexpert or Tuberculosis examination services were started today in the provincial hospital and in the health centers of Sawkai and Manogi districts, which cost 2.12 million afghanis.”
He added with the launch of these services, patients will no longer have to travel to other provinces for diagnosis and treatment.
Sayed Ahmad, the resident of Sawkai district, said: “We are happy that in our district health center, modern machines have been activated and started providing services for the diagnosis of dangerous diseases.”
Tuberculosis is a dangerous viral and infectious disease that is easily transmitted from one person to another and if not treated in time, it can cause death.
