KABUL (Pajhwok): Over 350,000 cases have been addressed and resolved and 8,799 prisoners released during the past three years, the country’s Apex Court has said.
The Supreme Court (SC) spokesman Mawlavi Abdul Rahim Rashid told Pajhwok Afghan News 354,405 different cases were finalized during the past three years.
Based on different verdicts by the courts of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), about 123 convicts served their punishments, Rashid said.
The convicts were punished for different crimes such as thefts, sodomy, adultery, elopement and drugs related crimes . . .
