KABUL (Pajhwok): Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, who is currently in the United Arab Emirates for medical check-ups, has met President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Zabihullah Mujahid, chief spokesman for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), wrote on X the UAE president expressed satisfaction with Mullah Hassan’s visit.
He said, “The UAE supports its brotherly country Afghanistan in its reconstruction efforts.”
Mujahid said Prime Minister Hassan thanked the UAE leader and emphasised on strengthening “cordial relations” between the two nations.
Anas Haqqani, a senior member of the IEA, is accompanying the prime minister on his trip to the UAE.
